Funny Video

The workout of the day at HQ was run 5k and post your time.

Someone posted this video: http://www.break.com/index/theyberunnin_rob.html

It would not be so funny if you had not seen someone in downtown Ann Arbor seriously "training" like that. In the same outfits. Seriously.

It makes me think of this: If you were to discreetly follow someone around the gym and track how much time they were actually doing something that contributed to fitness, what would that number be? What percentage of total gym time vs. working out time?

Ahhh.....I digress.

BOOT CAMP 1830 2-28-06

February closes with a rocking good class. Forty participants doing a pretty well rounded workout.

February rock star of the month Dorothy. She made it to 13 classes. Boot Camp is a low cost alternative to personal training. Dorothy made sure she got FULL BENEFIT this month. Rock on!

Dawn has come miles in improving her squat. Great job!

The Castle rug rats are in the front doing the double biceps. The nine year old finished at the top of the class in this evolution.

Chaos.

Training Modalities

A client asked me a question about aerobic vs. anaerobic training today. I thought I would post this. For most training, anaerobics are superior, though much harder.

Food for thought on how we spend out limited training time. If you had three hours per week to workout, where would you get the most benefit?

March Class Enrollment

Class registration for March begins immediately. Please go to http://www.hyperfitusa.com/buy.asp to sign up for classes. Please register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot in class.

We have been asked why we don’t add recurring billing to payment options. The answer is we want to have people make a conscious decision to re-commit to the class every month. Think of a gym membership. If you stopped going to the gym, they still get paid without any service rendered. We are not in that business.

If you enroll for unlimited classes, you will receive a complimentary Boot Camp T-shirt. The new color will be sage green with black lettering. The new CrossFit Ann Arbor shirts should be finished by the end of the month. We should have samples soon.

Our class schedule remains the same.
