I recently bought a copy of Mark Rippetoe's book Starting Strength. It is written from the position of how to coach various lifts. The detail and years of experience poured into piece of work is inspiring.
The book is also filled with great quotes and wit. Here is a quote I have come to really like:

I haven't been able to find it locally. Did you mail order it? Mark has had some good articles in CrossFit Journal. Here's an interview where he shares some of his background:
