The recent depiction of Crossfit as dangerous is fair. In fact, to date no one has really pointed out how dangerous Crossfit really is. Seriously. Cooperman's article was actually understated in it's assessment of Crossfit programming. Has no one else seen this? The implications of the daily application of the IDEA of Crossfit are truly dangerous. Imagine an idea that threatens to expose the greater fitness industry as arcane and archaic. And it's free. Crossfit. Imagine an idea that empowers people to train, really train for the lives, alone if they have to. Crossfit. Imagine an idea that propels athletes and soldiers alike to seek even higher base levels of competentcy.

Imagine an idea that is so open source nimble, and ever self correcting, self improving in its daily application that it doesn't risk irrelevancy. Imagine an idea that changes they way the health care rehabilitation industry (physical therapy) organizes and implements its care. And imagine an idea that carries such self evident truth with it that thousands of people spontaneously form community and fellowship. Crossfit promotes daily self competition, self reflection, and self refinement.

Darwin's dangerous idea was not evolution, but evolution by natural selection. Crossfit is concious self selection.

Crossfit is an idea that is as dangerous as it gets. Crossfit is both ethos and organizing emergent paradigm.

Good thing the Times didn't realize that they were really writing about revolution.
